Travel with a group of 30+ participants while experiencing live performances from Songs of Slavery and Emancipation, workshops, and documentary screenings that bring this history to life. This is not simply a tour—it is an immersive musical and historical encounter.

Dr. Kathy Bullock 

Dr. Kathy Bullock is an educator, scholar, and choral conductor specializing in gospel, spirituals, and classical works by composers from the African diaspora. A Professor Emerita of Music at Berea College, she teaches and performs internationally.

Yvonned Moore & Mat Callahan

Mat Callahan, a San Francisco–born musician and author, and Yvonne Moore, a Swiss singer and band leader, collaborate on projects uncovering and performing historical songs of slavery, emancipation, and social struggle

and the Berea Singers! 

Drawn from Berea College’s diverse Concert Choir, this select ensemble represents a cross-section of its undergraduate singers. Together, they perform sacred and secular works rooted in global traditions and African American musical heritage.
