Join us for a fabulous day of singing with world-renowned gospel leader, Dr Kathy Bullock.
Kathy will lead us in spirituals and gospel music, weaving history into the singing as we explore the connections between African American music, history, and its African origins.
In all of her work, Kathy shares infectious joy and inspires heartfelt connections as she celebrates the transcending power of love and spirit through music.
Dr. Kathy Bullock is Professor Emeritus of music at Berea College, Kentucky where she worked for almost thirty years. She holds a BA, MA and PHD in music.
Please note this is a community singing event rather than a concert. Everyone who attends will be singing.
No experience of singing or reading music is required.

Together, we’ll explore African American spirituals and gospel music, weaving in rich historical context and African roots. Kathy brings infectious joy and deep connection to every session, celebrating the transcending power of love and spirit through song. This is a community singing event, not a concert — everyone present will be part of the singing, and no prior experience or ability to read music is required.
By booking, you agree to the event’s Terms and Conditions: tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another singer; the organizer, Una McCann, reserves the right to cancel (with refunds) or amend the program as needed. Participants are expected to uphold respectful behavior, and inappropriate conduct may result in removal without refund. By attending, you consent to being photographed or videoed for promotional use unless you notify Una in advance; however, no video or audio recordings by attendees are permitted. These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
